Fifth & Third Grade Self-Portraits in Kente Designs & Ndebele Paper Houses


Fifth & third grade students created self-portraits in kente designs in celebration of Black History Month.  

  
  



                Fifth & fourth grade students created three-dimensional paper houses in the design style of the Ndebele people of Africa.  Students explored & applied colorful geometric shapes & patterns to their creations.

Student Graffiti Art

 


Create a piece of graffiti art using words, symbols scribbles and other images.  Start by choosing a main image such as a dinosaur much like artist Basquiat's dinosaur king.  Add other lines, scribbles, symbols and letters or words.

Paul Klee Cats/An Exhibition by Kind, First & Second grades

                             















After hearing the story, "The Cat & the Bird", students captured the personality of the cat by creating cat drawings and paintings in the style of past artist Paul Klee.
